देहरादून जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल की अध्यक्षता में एन्कॉर्ड जनपद स्तरीय बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक का उद्देश्य जनपद में मादक पदार्थों के दुष्प्रभावों की रोकथाम, मांग-आपूर्ति श्रृृंखला को तोड़ना तथा नशामुक्ति एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को सुदृढ़ करना रहा।नशे के बढ़ते संकट से निपटने के लिए जिला प्रशासन द्वारा की गई पहल अब सकारात्मक परिणाम देने लगी है। रायवाला स्थित ओल्ड एज होम परिसर में संचालित जनपद के प्रथम राजकीय नशा मुक्ति एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र के माध्यम से नशे के गर्त में डूबे व्यक्तियों को उपचार देकर पुनः समाज की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ा जा रहा है.वर्तमान में यह नशा मुक्ति केंद्र पूर्णतः फुल क्षमता पर संचालित है, जहाँ ड्रग्स एडिक्ट व्यक्तियों का वैज्ञानिक पद्धति से उपचार एवं काउंसलिंग की जा रही है। अब तक इस केंद्र से 7 से अधिक व्यक्तियों को सफलतापूर्वक नशामुक्त कर समाज की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ा जा चुका है।
जिलाधिकारी ने निर्देश दिए कि मानक विपरित संचालित तथा बिना पंजीकरण संचालित नशामुक्ति केन्द्रों पर छापेमारी करते हुए कार्यवाही के निर्देश दिए तथा ऐसे केन्द्रों को पंजीकरण रद्द तथ सीलिंग की कार्यवाही करते हुए शासन को रिपोर्ट प्रेषित करने के भी निर्देश दिए।
